Multiple payment methods

A4 invoices

Linked to the appointment

Checkout can start from the client's completed appointment on the calendar.

Checkout for services and retail in one place

SoftBela's point of sale is built for how salons actually sell, combining a booked service with any retail products a client buys on the spot, such as shampoo or styling products, into a single sale. Staff open the sale from a completed appointment or start a new sale directly, add items from the services and product list, and see the total update as items are added or removed. Because the sale draws on the same services and inventory records used elsewhere in SoftBela, prices and stock levels stay consistent between the calendar, the shop shelf and the till.

Accepting the way clients actually pay

At checkout, staff record how the client paid, which matters for accurate daily reconciliation. SoftBela supports cash, card payments including Visa and Mastercard, bank transfer, and mobile money options such as m-Pesa, e-Mola and mKesh in Mozambique. A client can also split a single sale across more than one payment method, for example part cash and part card, and the sale records each portion.

  • Cash payments
  • Card payments, Visa and Mastercard
  • Bank transfer
  • Mobile money: m-Pesa, e-Mola, mKesh
  • Split payments across methods

Refunds and adjustments

When a sale needs correcting, whether a returned product or an overcharge, staff can process a refund against the original sale rather than creating an unrelated adjustment. This keeps the sale record and the refund linked, so daily totals and reports reflect what actually happened at the till.

  • Refunds recorded against the original sale
  • Payment records adjusted to match the refund
  • History kept for reporting and audit

Invoices clients can keep

Every completed sale can generate a formal A4 invoice listing the services and products sold, quantities, prices and the payment method used. This gives clients a proper receipt for their records and gives the business a consistent paper trail for accounting and tax purposes.

  • A4 format suitable for printing or saving as a file
  • Lists each service, product, price and payment method
  • Generated automatically from the completed sale

Point of sale connected to the rest of the business

Because point of sale is one module among many rather than a separate system, a completed sale automatically reduces product stock levels, contributes to that client's visit history and loyalty points, and feeds into revenue reports. Staff do not need to re-enter a sale anywhere else for it to count toward inventory, customer records or reporting.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell a product and a service in the same checkout?

Yes. A single sale can include a booked service along with any retail products the client buys, and the total combines both, so staff only need to complete one checkout per client visit instead of separate transactions.

What payment methods does the point of sale support?

It supports cash, card payments including Visa and Mastercard, bank transfer, mobile money such as m-Pesa, e-Mola and mKesh in Mozambique, and split payments where a client pays using more than one method in the same sale.

Can I issue a refund after a sale is completed?

Yes. Refunds are processed against the original sale record, which keeps the refund linked to what was actually sold and paid, and this adjustment is reflected in daily totals and revenue reports for accurate reconciliation.

Does a sale automatically update product stock?

Yes. When a sale includes a retail product, the stock level for that product is reduced automatically as part of checkout, so inventory counts stay current without a separate manual stock adjustment step.
